Introducing CatalystCash

Sparking Positive Change for Those in Need

We hope this newsletter finds you well. We are excited to announce that since March 27th, 2023, our cash assistance program has made a significant impact on the lives of those facing hardship, and we have officially named it CatalystCash. The name “Catalyst” embodies the essence of our program, as it represents the power to spark positive change quickly.

A catalyst is an agent that accelerates a reaction, and that’s precisely what our program aims to do in the lives of individuals managing various traumas. We believe that by providing financial assistance during difficult times, we can help them navigate challenges more effectively, fostering resilience and hope for the future.

Thanks to your support, we have reached an incredible milestone of 38 grantees. Together, we have distributed over $21,000 in CatalystCash since the program’s inception. These funds have been instrumental in making a difference in countless ways.

As of July 25, 2023, our average CatalystCash award per grantee stands at approximately $562. We are thrilled to have been able to provide assistance for crucial needs such as dental work, summer camp for kids, rent deposit and first month’s rent, back rent, car insurance, car payments, rent for sober living facilities, and utility bills. Each grantee’s story is a testament to the positive impact CatalystCash has had on their lives. The staff here frequently tear up as we speak to the grantees giving them the good news. Their gratitude for the help you give them is overwhelming and endearing.

We are grateful for the support you have given us, with over $60,000 in donations contributing to our mission. It’s with your support that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those facing adversity.

In the coming month, we aim to broaden our outreach and reach even more individuals in need. The success of CatalystCash has affirmed our belief that this program embodies the perfect description of what we do. However, we’re always open to improvement and growth. That’s why we would love your feedback on our new tagline: “Doing what churches should have been doing all along.” Your insights are crucial to shaping the future of our program.

Please share your thoughts and comments on the tagline by emailing us at admin@meliorismworksfund.org. Your feedback will help us refine our messaging and better communicate our mission to the world.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support. Together, we can continue to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of those facing hardships.

With warm regards,

Missy Rust, MSW, Founder/Treasurer, CatalystCash Program
